8. (a) (i) Identify and briefly describe the structure of vascular tissue in plants which is responsible for transportation of inorganic ions and water
(ii) In six points explain how the vascular tissue identified in 8a(i) is adapted to its function.
(b) Explain five evidence for transport of organic materials in the phloem
9. (a) Describe six properties of biological catalyst.
(b) With the aid of illustration(s) briefly explain the following concept as used in enzymes catalysed reactions.
(i) Allosteric inhibition
(ii) Negative feedback inhibition
(iii) Non-competitive irreversible inhibition.
10. (a) Account for the mechanism of balance in mammals.
(b) Explain why human being cannot see clearly during the night, while cats and night birds like owl can see clearly.
