KCSE results 2026/2027 Released – Check your KCSE Results 

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) is the national body responsible for overseeing national examinations in Kenya. Its current chairman is Professor John Onsati. This council was established under the Kenya National Examinations Council Act Cap 225A of the Laws of Kenya, in 1980.

Below are the steps you need to follow to access your results. These steps explain how candidates can securely retrieve their official KCSE Results using the KNEC online system.

  • Visit the official KNEC results portal at https://results.knec.ac.ke/.
  • Accept the privacy and access notice displayed on the page.
  • Enter your KCSE index number exactly as registered.
  • Input any one of your registered names as used during KCSE registration.
  • Submit the details to view your provisional results.

The results are available immediately upon submission of the correct details.

Who Can Access the KCSE Results

All candidates who sat for the  KCSE examination can access their individual results online. School administrators and authorised education officials may also review institutional performance data through official KNEC channels.

Unlike previous years, SMS result checking is not available for the 2025 KCSE results.

Steps to Check KCSE Results:

  1. Visit the KNEC Results Portal: Navigate to results.knec.ac.ke.
  2. Enter Your Details: Input your index number and one registered name from your KCSE exam data.
  3. Submit and View Results: Submit the details to view your results on the screen.
  4. Collect Official Slip: Visit your exam center to collect your official result slip. Check for any errors and report them to KNEC promptly.

Candidates should visit their examination centers for their official results slip.

The ministry of education advises parents teachers and pupils to check the KCSE results and KCSE result slip for any anomaly such as incorrect candidate’s name, school name and code as well as wrong subject grade and report to KNEC within a month after the announcement.
