How to check KCPE results 2026 Online on KNEC portal

To check your KCPE results using the KNEC portal, follow these steps:

  • Visit the https://www.knec-portal.ac.ke/
  • Check for the KCPE Results tab, click on it
  • Select the year you sat for the Exams
  • Enter your Index number.
  • Finally click the Submit button.
  • Your KCPE results should show on the screen after a while.

Your results will then be displayed on the screen. It is important to note that pupils will be required to input their index number in capital letters for the KNEC portal to process the information accurately.

Check KCPE results via sms

To check your KCPE results using the SMS option, follow these steps:

  1. Open the SMS messaging app on your phone.
  2. Enter your index number followed by the letters “KCPE”.
  3. Send the message to the code 40054.

Your results will then be sent to you via SMS. This option costs Ksh. 25 per SMS.

To access their results, candidates can use their mobile phones by sending their candidate’s index number followed by the keyword KCPE to the code 40054. It’s important to note that a fee of Ksh. 25 will be charged per SMS. The service is available via the three network providers in the country Safaricom, Airtel, and Telkom networks. For example, if a candidate’s index number is 123456789, they should send 123456789KCPE to 40054.

Check KCPE results BY Visiting former Primary School

Finally, candidates can check their KCPE results by visiting their former schools a day after the official release of the exam.

Furthermore, headteachers of the respective schools have the option to collect the KCPE results from sub-county education centers. Alternatively, they can utilize the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) online portal (www.knec-portal.ac.ke) to download and print their students’ results. This provides a convenient and efficient means for schools to access and distribute the examination outcomes.
